The Bundesliga consists of 18 clubs and is the highest level of the German soccer pyramid. It is the same as the top leagues. All clubs play each other twice in a home-and-away format during the regular season. After the regular season, a champion is crowned, with most of the same clubs competing for various additional prizes.
