Terms of use
These terms cover the use of this website. They are worth two minutes because the most important one is easy to miss: GBbet is an information site and not a bookmaker. No bet can be placed here, no money is held here, and no account on this site exists.
What this site is
Published guidance: reviews of bookmakers licensed in Great Britain, explanations of how markets and settlement rules work, and the terms attached to public offers, read in full and reported. It is information, not advice. Nothing on this site is a recommendation to bet, a prediction of a result, or a claim that any bet can be made profitable.
Age and eligibility
You must be 18 or over to use this site and to gamble in Great Britain. If you are excluded from gambling – through GAMSTOP, through self-exclusion at an operator, or by a court – nothing here is intended for you, and following a link from this site does not change that exclusion, which continues to apply at every licensed operator.
Accuracy, and its limits
Bookmakers change their offers, their terms and their markets without notice, and licences are granted and surrendered. We check what we publish and we correct it when it is wrong, but the operator's own published terms are the authority at the moment you bet, and they override anything written here. Read them before you accept an offer. If you find something out of date on this site, tell the editor and it will be fixed.
Links to other sites
Links to bookmakers and to regulators lead to sites we do not control, and we are not responsible for their content, their terms or their handling of your data. Some of those links are affiliate links: if you open an account through one, the operator may pay us a commission. This costs you nothing, the offer is the same offer the operator publishes itself, and it does not buy a position in our ordering. The about page sets out how that works in full.
Your own risk
Any decision to bet, and any loss that follows, is yours. We accept no liability for money lost gambling, for a bet settled in a way you did not expect, or for an operator's decision to restrict, suspend or close an account. Disputes of that kind go to the operator and then to the alternative dispute resolution service named in its terms; the questions page explains that route.
Our content
The text, the tables and the layout of this site are ours. Quote us with a link and we have no complaint; republish a page wholesale and we will ask for it to come down. Operator logos and names belong to those operators and appear here to identify them.
